What You'll Do:

In this workshop we will learn how to use thermoplastic to handcraft a flower and incorporate a simple LED to brighten our Valentine’s Day. 

By the end of the workshop you will:

  • Understand characteristics of thermoplastic
  • Different ways to heat and mold the thermoplastic
  • Create our flower design and mold it
  • How to incorporate a simple LED into our creations
  • Design ideas and instructions will be provided

The workshop will be broken out into the following topics:

Introduction

  • Project and Materials
  • Safety precautions
  • Design and Build project
  • Tips and tricks
  • Decorate and present
  • Q&A

No specific skills required

Skills you will learn:

How to use thermoplastic Simple LED circuit Modeling techniques

What You'll Need:

  • Thermoplastic pellets (Polly Plastics, Instamorph)
  • Heat gun or a cup of hot water
  • Conductive thread
  • Coin Battery and Holder
  • (Optional: Flower forms and cutouts)

As a leader and an educator, I enjoy spreading technical knowledge to peers, clients, and my students.
