Mr. Bob - Robot Butler

Around 15% of the world’s population has spme form of disability. We want to help those people so we crated a Robot butler which will be bringing things such as water and snacks to people wherever they are located in the house.

About them: My name is Asad Grabovica. I was born 06.09.2004. I am currently in the third grade of high school. My hobby is programming, and I have been programming since I was 12 years old. I am experienced in web and app development. I made many websites, and some of the applications that I made are: book a holiday, innovative home application, and locate my friends. My favorite part of IT is Robotics and IoT, and I made many projects in those departments; some projects are Smart Home, Smart City, No need for speed, and Mr. Bob. I got many international awards for my creations

What inspired you or what is the idea that got you started?
I was sitting at home and watching a movie, I wanted to drink water, but I didn’t feel like standing up, then I thought that I should make a robot that will be bringing stuff such as water and snacks to people in the house. I wanted my Robot to be helpful, so I thought if sometimes I don’t feel like standing up imagine how is it for disabled people, so I decided that this robot should be dedicated to them.
What is your project about and how does it work?
Our project is Robot butler, and it is a robot which is bringing people stuff such as water, snacks, and medicine there in the house where they are located. It consists of three parts base(where water and snacks are stored), robotic arm(arm which takes stuff out of the base and puts them on the delivery car), delivery car(a car which takes items and transports them there where you are in the house). Everything is controlled with mobile applications and voice commands.
What did you learn by doing this project?
I got more experience in robotics, programming, working with Arduino, 3D designing, and 3D printing. It took us about three months to make the project; before making project, we had experience in things that were required for us to make the project but during the making we got a lot more experienced and improved skills which we will need later in life.
What impact does your project have on others as well as yourself?
It will make all users' lives easier, especially our target users'; with the help of this project, disabled people will be a lot more independent and save a lot more time. They won't have to ask other people to bring them consumer goods, and with the help of the application, they won't need to walk around the house and get stuff on their own.
