I am a Rivan enthusiast and wanted to model one. Once I started to model the body I decided to challenge myself and make it an RC truck.
This project has a gear ratio and a print in place steering mechanism, it is 100% 3D printed and only includes one screw, all other connectors are printed.
My project goal was to challenge myself. It gave me experience designing gear and print-in-place mechanisms and learning how to assemble large pla parts together. A problem I faced was the heat; the gears kept melting and caused me to go through numerous parts.
This project made me a better maker and expanded my skills in a CAD program, it inspired younger kids to make more advanced projects.
