What is Circuit Bending and how can you use it with students. Basically it means recycling and repurposing broken and abandoned toys, obsolete electronic devices and everyday items into musical instruments.

About them: Laureano Cantarutti (1986 – Córdoba, Argentina)
He's a composer, songwriter, multi instrumentalist, maker, circuit bender, podcaster and musical producer from Córdoba, Argentina.
He has knowledge about music, musical instruments, Throat Singing, audio/video editing and electronics, acquired in an academic and self-taught manner. His solo musical project "Law Cant" stands out for the mixture of conventional instruments and those created by him through Circuit Bending. He's the producer and curator of the first “Latin American Sound Map of Circuit Bending”. In 2021 he was summoned by the NAMM Foundation, Make Music Alliance and Maker Music Festival to coordinate and carry out the "Mutant Toy Parade" in several cities in the United States. He runs the Cantarutti Bentstrumentos enterprise together with Danilo Cantarutti and Valentina Martinez Gallino. He hosts and produces the podcast “Sonido Interior” (Radio Eterogenia – Centro Cultural España Córdoba). He teaches the workshop "Estrujando Circuitos" (Squeezing Circuits) at the Paseo de las Artes Cultural Center. He participates in different festivals, Maker Faires, exhibitions, compilations and performances nationally and internationally.
